Our two stores, Village Green and Cottage Country, are geographically located at the heart of the historically picturesque Rideau Valley town of Westport Ontario. The many winding country roads connecting countless Canadian Shield lakes and the Rideau Canal waterway system have, throughout the year, always attracted excited vacationers, outdoor enthusiasts, and those out for a relaxing day in the country.
The mission for Village Green in 1985 was to compliment this naturally inviting setting with a uniquely broad-ranged country shopping experience. Today, Village Green and Cottage Country offer the largest and the most exciting shopping trip between Kingston and Ottawa. And in their September issue 2000, Money Sense Magazine identified our company as “One of Best Little Shops in Canada”.
